Dictation machines

If your computer runs speech recognition you have three possibilities to include digital devices from Grundig Business Systems into a speech recognition software: (1) DigtaProfessional is used at your workstation Connect your desktop dictation microphone (Digta ProMic 840 USB) onto your PC via USB cable. First you record a complete dictation by means of DigtaProfessional. Then you directly send it from the DigtaProfessional to the speech recognition system. Hereunto select your speech recognition user profile together with the vocabulary to be used, if necessary. The result of the speech recognition will show up on the screen in a recognition window. Now you can store this text together with your dictation and go on with your word processing as usual. (2) The speech recognition software is directly used at your workstation. It is not necessary to start DigtaProfessional if you prefer online speech recognition. Only connect your desktop dictation machine (Digta ProMic 840 USB) onto your PC via USB cable. Now you have to configurate the required remote control/automation, both in the AdapterServer being installed together with the Digta ProMic 840 USB software, as well as in the speech recognition software. Thanks to the function key at the DigtaProMic 840 it is very easy now to start recording (for ex. directly onto Microsoft Word) or to correct the recognised words. (3) Mobile with Digta Mobile You may record a dictation with your portable dictation machine (for ex. Digta 4015) and process this dictation afterwards by means of your PC speech recognition. Connect your mobile dictation machine onto your PC via USB and transfer the dictation to the Digta Mobile dictation software supplied with the device. In Digta Mobile you may easily select the speech recognition programme your dictation shall be sent to. To achieve optimum recognition please chose the voice profile of the speaker who has recorded the dictation. The speech recognition recognises the dictation and creates a corresponding text file. You may read the text and work on it during the recognition process. You may also go on with the corrections having finished the recognition, if you have selected “manual correction after recognition”. The “save“ function sends the dictation including this text file to yourself (or another pre-selected recipient in the DigtaSoft workflow). Please note that according to experience, speech recognition quality is restricted when using mobile dictation machines, no matter who manufactured them. This relates to various factors and outside influences (like noisy surroundings or unintended varying microphone distances during mobile dictating). To achieve optimum recognition quality you should usually prefer desktop dictation microphones.
