Overview of our solutions

More time for the essentials: AI-supported speech recognition and automation

Every minute counts, especially in hospitals. Staff shortages and overwork are part of everyday life. AI in applications such as speech recognition or process automation can significantly reduce the time spent on administration and documentation, allowing medical staff to spend more time with their patients.

Dictation recognition on a PC

To cope with the high volume of documentation in hospitals, speech recognition systems such as Dragon Medical One are increasingly replacing traditional dictation devices. Doctors can dictate findings and reports directly at the cursor in applications such as the HIS. The AI-supported engine ensures high recognition accuracy. As with traditional dictation, punctuation marks are also dictated. Transcription takes place in the cloud and the result is visible directly on the screen. This saves a considerable amount of time compared to traditional dictation workflows with transcription in the secretarial office. According to users, up to one hour per day. Time that benefits patients. Additional efficiency gains are achieved by combining it with generative AI for post-processing, summarising or translating dictations, for example via step-by-step commands.

Dictate on the go

Flexible solutions are available for integrating documentation into the mobile working day of doctors and nurses in a timely and efficient manner: dictations can be created on the go using mobile dictation devices (e.g. Digta 7) or smartphones. A workflow involves sending these to a transcription service via software (DigtaSoft Speech), where transcription is carried out manually or using speech recognition (GoSpeech). According to users, correcting a text automatically converted by GoSpeech takes half the time compared to manual typing.
Alternatively, the DigtaSoft Keyboard enables direct voice input with Dragon Medical One in Android applications such as the HIS, including the use of voice commands and text modules directly on the mobile device. Both approaches optimise documentation processes, reduce administrative effort, accelerate the availability of information and give medical staff more time for patient care.

Automatic documentation for doctor-patient consultations

The vision for the future is an AI-supported solution that records doctor-patient conversations in the background and independently summarises them into structured clinical documentation. This allows doctors to concentrate fully on the patient and only have to approve the result. Both Microsoft Dragon Copilot and Corti Assistant are based on medically trained AI and implement this approach. The recorded conversations are structured using templates (e.g. SOAP). The text can be edited and the finished documentation exported or, if necessary, transferred to the HIS via an automation workflow. It is also possible to connect a knowledge database via an interface, from which information relevant to the case can be retrieved. In the future, the AI will also be able to actively provide real-time context-sensitive information. As a GDPR-compliant cloud solution hosted on secure EU servers, the highest data protection standards are guaranteed.

Translation of medical consultations

In multicultural hospitals, communicating with patients who do not speak a common language poses a challenge, especially in critical situations such as emergency rooms or during pre-operative consultations. GoSpeech Medical Translate addresses this problem with a real-time translation solution that is specially optimised for medical terminology and works reliably even in noisy environments. The software supports multiple languages (expandable) and ensures maximum data protection, as all processing takes place locally within the hospital infrastructure. An additional, intuitive offline app version allows use even without a network connection, enabling medical staff and patients to communicate even in stressful emergencies.

Multi-speaker speech recognition

Whether consultations, meetings, conferences or research interviews – even online meetings can be quickly converted into text form with speech recognition. Punctuation marks are automatically inserted and speakers are separated. The GoSpeech speech recognition software is intuitive to use. The software also allows you to easily search, tag and archive your audio and video recordings. The recognised texts can also be used for subtitling to improve accessibility. By importing individual word lists with medical terms from your desired fields, recognition accuracy in the medical environment can be improved.

Automation with cognitive AI

Hospitals and healthcare facilities are under pressure due to a shortage of skilled workers and high administrative costs. The simple solution: automate processes – without any programming knowledge. The cognitive AI EMMA takes over recurring tasks such as patient admission, appointment coordination, billing and insurance applications. With the help of robotic process automation (RPA), digital assistants simulate interactions with the software, ensuring smooth workflows. The solution runs securely on hospital servers, is scalable and, thanks to a no-code interface, enables process owners to automate independently after training.
