CVT - Central Voice Transcriber

  • Central offline speech recognition with automatic vocabulary improvement
  • Speech recognition of all dictations from many authors is done on one or more central computers.
  • Correction also possible via thin clients directly in Microsoft Word

Centrally controlled offline speech recognition – Ideally suited for high dictation volumes

The Central Voice Transcriber is a software for controlling DigtaSoft Voice as offline speech recognition. The recognition takes place centrally on a network computer. Advantage: The computer doesn’t need capacities for dictation authors and typists.
Depending on the volume of dictations, we recommend one or more Central Voice Transcribers. A Central Voice Transcriber can transcribe approx. 30 dictation hours in 24 hours and has no restriction regarding the number of authors. It is ideal for hospitals, law practices and other institutions with a high number of dictations.

Central Voice Transcriber: Dictations as usual and automatic relearning

The authors dictate as usual and therefore not directly into the speech recognition system, because it is installed on the Central Voice Transcriber. As they do not see their texts on the screen they are neither distracted from their technical work by recognition errors nor by vocabulary maintenance. The author finally selects the typist who is to create the document. The dictation is sent to the Central Voice Transcriber, where it is converted into text. The typist receives the recognized text as a Microsoft Word file along with the DSS or DSSPro dictation. The typist performs final corrections and formatting on the document. The vocabulary is automatically corrected on the basis of the completed document - again via the Central Voice Transcriber on a central computer in the background.
